This is where we live.
Our house is in Hamar, a small city 12 miles north of Oslo. It is one of the
citys that the Olympic Wintergames was at in 1994.
I live here with my dogs, they are all waterdogs from 7 months
old to 11,5 years. You can see picture of thems at some other pages.
We always have dogs at home when I grow up, we had spaniels for many years.
I got my first own dogs when I was 17 years old, it was a Bichon Frise male. He
lived with me until he died when he was 17 years old, he never became a show
dog, but he was a fantastic friend and a nice dog.
. I moved in with my boyfriend when my Bichon was 2 years old and we got us a
Standard Poodle, I had been very allergic to dogs so it had to be a breed that
was allergic friendly.
We started travel around with our dogs for different shows and everybody
that know poodles know that it is lot of work doing the coat and our dogs was a
lot with us in the wood and that became a problem with the coat, it became to
short.
In 1990 I saw my first Portuguese waterdog, it was in a dogshow some place in
Norway. I fell in love that day- but I dident know what breed it was. (at that
time it was only one or two waterdogs in Norway) After the group show I run away
to see if I could find the dog and ask what it was, and I found him and after
meeting him I know that it was the breed I wanted.
In march 1992 I got my first waterdog, it was a female from
Kennel Biley's named
Biley's Xquisite Thitara. In January 1993 I got my second female named
Biley's Zesty Zombie.
These female together with
Druvgaardens's Black Ballentines it our fondation bitches.
This was the beginning for my breeding in Norway, the next problem was that it
was so few dogs to use in breed that time, and we decided to go to Portugal to
se if we could buy som males and bring home with us.
In 1996 we travel to Portugal first time, we visit Do Vale Nego kennel/ Carla
Molinari and we bring back two male,
Ir Ao Vento Do Vale Negro and
Nico D'Obra Do Vale Negro
In 1996 kennel Isostar's first litter of Portuguese waterdogs was born. Look at
past puppies to see the parent for out litters.
In 1999 I got a female from kennel Do Vale Negro, her name was Chuva Do
Estrellas Do Vale Negro. She was a fantastic female but her hips was so bad that
she have never had any puppies, she is still in good shape and live with a
friend of mine.
more is coming....
